THUNDER BOOMED IN THE DISTANCE.
“Brother, is that necessary?” Hades asked.
Zeus turned toward him, sighing. “You did not heed my warning, Hades.”
“If I am to be honest, I did not even acknowledge it in the first place,” Hades responded.
“Which was exactly what I guessed you would do. My fool of a brother. Infatuated with a mere, insignificant child.”
“‘Insignificant?’ She is your daughter, Zeus.”
Zeus let out a scoff. “I have many children. Demeter coddles her enough for the both of us. The child prefers her, anyway. That’s why I gave her to you in the first place.”
“Your attitude about her seems to have changed.”
“As I said, you did not heed my warning to be cautious. We are all suffering the repercussions of your insolent actions.”
Immediately, the ground split beneath Zeus’ feet. Not a wide enough gap to drop him inside, but enough to make him lose his footing for a brief moment.
“Do not insult me, Zeus. You forget the power I hold.”
Zeus said nothing. Instead, a crack of lightning landed right in front of Hades’ feet, scorching the ground.
“I am higher than you. You may rule the damned and the fires they wander in, but I control the skies. I am the ruler of the world above you. It is because of me that you have your power.”
Hades scoffed. “You were always so self-absorbed.”
Zeus held up his hand. "Enough banter, Hades. Demeter has met with Helios. She knows of what you have done.”
“Helios knew?” Hades asked.
Zeus nodded. “He has for a long time. He saw everything happen.”
Hades’ fists clenched. “He never learned how to keep to himself.”
“Cast that anger aside, Hades. Your ploy is over. Persephone must return to this world.”
That shocked Hades, although he had been expecting it.
“You let me take her. She is mine to do with as I please.”
“That generosity must be revoked. This world is dying because of Demeter’s grief, and it will only grow worse. The humans that worship us are suffering and dying every day.”
“And with each death, my kingdom only grows. Do you think I care about their worth to you?” Hades asked.
Thunder boomed as Zeus stepped closer to Hades.
“You fool. You cannot see the dangers of this. Release Persephone to Demeter, immediately,” Zeus ordered.
“I believe it to be fair that she may choose. She has come to like it in my realm.”
“Nevertheless, I will send Hermes down to collect her. Expect his arrival soon.”
“I will. But know this: She has the choice to leave. But my dear, dear brother, she also has the choice to stay,” Hades said, and vanished.
PERSEPHONE LEFT HER ROOM, WANDERING OUTSIDE.
She soon found herself in the garden, and she let out a small sigh as she walked past all of the jewels.
This place, even with its horrors, could be beautiful. She never could have imagined that the Underworld could have beauty. But Persephone realized that all things had their beauty, all in their own way.
She paused in front of a pale red jewel. The torchlight shone across the garden, making the crystals turn dazzling colors that Persephone had never seen before. The pale light reflecting off of it made the jewel slightly pinker, and Persephone glanced down at her fingers, which were still slightly stained.
She realized that the color of these jewels matched the pomegranate stains on her fingertips, and sat down next to them.

Afterlife:Persephone and Hades
Afterlife
There should have been fire. She was definitely expecting there to be blazing red fire, tortured souls, and Cerberus foaming at the mouth. Instead as she descended, trepidation eating away at her, she was surrounded by iridescent milky light filling a void of darkness. She clung to the stony wall as she continued slowly down the circling steps taking in the scene before her. Looking forward she was surprised by the layout before her. She paused for a moment taking in the landscape. Directly ahead of her was a forest of luminously vibrant trees. Leading from the steps and through those lustr

Hey, look, guys. I PUBLISHED something. The SAME NIGHT as my journal entry about how sorry I am.
Look at me go.
This will be a little jumbled. Like I said, this is the first time doing this for a while. I've had the majority of this written out for a while, however, so that's nice. But I hope you enjoy
There will be only TWO more parts to this story. :/ (Sorry if that's sad news to some of you.) I switched up my outline a little to make some parts longer and to make the storyline go a bit more smoothly. Hopefully it works.
Anyway, sorry again, and happy reading!
